Sheri Lux, Founder of Karys Layne Candles
Karys Layne Candles was founded by Sheri Lux (Lerat). Combining her passion for creativity and eye for design, attention has been put into every detail of these candles. Only the highest quality ingredients are sourced from around the world, and then hand crafted in small batches in Canada. Soy wax, wooden wicks, and fragrant oils create these crackling and mesmerizing candles.
The name Karys Layne was created as a tribute to her children's grandmothers. Both women passed away before her children were able to know them, which inspired Sheri to name her company in their honour. After years of experimenting, and testing .... Karys Layne Candles was launched in 2017. However, just days after launching, Sheri’s personal life shattered when she became a young widow to a Fallen RCMP Officer. As Sheri took some time putting the pieces of her life back together, she turned to painting, designing, and experimenting with candle recipes again. Part of her healing journey was to go back to her artistic roots. It was at this point that Sheri chose to walk away from her professional teaching career and pursue her dream of focusing her attention on her own company.

Sheri is currently an ambassador for Wounded Warriors Canada, and has been part of their Surviving Spouse Program. She works with various police forces throughout the country sharing her family's experiences, and is an advocate for mental health. Her hope is to bring awareness to mental health by removing the stigma that is often attached.
