Karys Layne Candles is more than a brand — it’s a declaration that you can choose the life you want, on your terms, no matter what you’ve walked through. Created by Sheri Lux, whose love for creativity and design is poured into every candle, Karys Layne is built on intention, healing, and the quiet courage to reshape your world even when life doesn’t go as planned.
Each candle is crafted in small batches in Canada using natural soy wax, wooden wicks, and beautifully curated fragrance oils. They crackle, glow, and invite you to slow down — to pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself. The name Karys Layne is a tribute to the grandmothers Sheri’s children never had the chance to get to know. Honoring their memory became the heart of the brand, a thread of meaning woven into every detail.
After years of experimenting and refining her craft, she launched Karys Layne Candles in 2017. Days later, her world shifted when she became a young widow to a Fallen RCMP Officer. In the midst of grief, she returned to creativity; painting, designing, and quietly perfecting candle recipes. Art became a way to breathe again, and a way to rebuild. Sheri left her teaching career and devoted herself fully to her company. In 2022, she relocated to Calgary, where she continues to rebuild her life and now gives back to others by sharing her story.
Today, Sheri is an ambassador for Wounded Warriors Canada, and is a member of their Surviving Spouse Program. She works alongside first responders across the country, sharing her family’s story and advocating for mental health, helping to break the stigma that so often surrounds it.
Karys Layne Candles is a reflection of resilience, transformation, and the beauty that emerges when you choose yourself ; even in the middle of grief, change, and life’s unexpected turns. Each candle is meant to be lit with intention, inviting you to pause, heal, and reconnect with yourself and your true calling.
